Counter-Trafficking in Persons (C-TIP) Field Guide
This updated Field Guide serves as a reference tool and practical resource for USAID staff to help implement the revised C-TIP Policy programming objectives as new C-TIP activities are designed. It provides Agency-specific guidance to USAID personnel for integrating C-TIP components into existing programs, options for stand-alone C-TIP initiatives, and suggestions on monitoring and evaluating the impact of specific programming interventions. In addition, this Guide emphasizes the importance of uniting all stakeholders, with empowered survivors at the forefront. The main body of the document outlines USAID’s framework to address TIP, while the annexes provide practical illustrative activities to help guide program design.

Applying Rights-Based Approaches
This guide was prepared by Pact in collaboration with USAID’s Center of Excellence on Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) under the USAID-funded, Freedom House-led Human Rights Support Mechanism (HRSM). The purpose of the guidance is to help USAID staff understand, adopt, and implement rights-based approaches (RBAs) across a range of sectors.

USAID Human Rights Landscape Analysis Tool
The purpose of this resource is to provide USAID personnel with guidance for surveying the human rights landscape as part of their country strategy and project design process. The objective is to understand how fundamental rights and freedoms that are related to USAID’s development goals are being respected, protected, and fulfilled or how they are being violated.

Field Guide: Helping Prevent Mass Atrocities
This field guide is designed to provide USAID field staff with practical guidance on a range of issues related to preventing and responding to mass atrocities.

Labor Sector Assessment Guide
This Strategic Assessment Guide lays out the methodology recommended to conduct labor sector assessments, outlining the necessary steps to be undertaken prior to departure, while in the country, and upon return to home base; the various quantitative and qualitative data that should be solicited, and a range of questions that need to be probed while in the field and addressed in the assessment report. Approaches to the Country Labor Sector Assessments are elaborated, and an information checklist is included to guide the analysts to ensure adequate coverage while in the field.

Labor Sector Programming Handbook
This paper, and the larger project it introduces, deals with all of these definitions and issues through a focus on the “labor sector” and the role it plays in development. The labor sector is the arena in which youth as well as adult men and women prepare for and participate in the world of work. A focus on the labor sector matters because of its impact on people’s abilities to find decent work, realize sustainable livelihoods, and raise themselves and their families out of poverty.
